Every object, accounted for

Your home contains hundreds, possibly thousands, of distinct objects worth tracking. Casabeza's inventory system gives each one a structured record: what it is, where it is, what kind of thing it is, and everything that has ever happened to it.

Four natures, infinite things

Every item in Casabeza belongs to one of four categories:

  • Possessions — portable objects: tools, equipment, decorative items, electronics
  • Appliances — durable fixtures that typically stay with the home: refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, HVAC units
  • Fixtures — structural systems that are the home: plumbing, wiring, built-in infrastructure
  • Consumables — items that get used up and replenished: cleaning supplies, filters, food staples, batteries

This distinction matters because each category carries different implications for tasks, tracking, and replacement.

Location, all the way down

Items live in locations (a building, a property) broken into places (rooms, storage areas, zones). Filters, searches, and reports all respect this hierarchy — find every consumable in the kitchen, or every tool in the garage, in seconds.

Rich records

Each item carries as much detail as you want:

  • Attached documents — manuals, warranties, receipts, spec sheets
  • Images for visual reference
  • A log of every significant event: installation, service, repair, replacement
  • C-Tags — flexible key/value metadata for anything that doesn't fit the standard fields
  • Quantity tracking for consumables, with configurable count modes

Search and filter

Find anything across your entire inventory by name, nature, location, or tag. The search is fast, the filters compose, and the results are immediately actionable.
